The Impact Of Healing Your Trauma

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Caleb West.

2 years ago after lurking and watching videos, he gathered the courage to reach out for a discovery call.

I’m sure he won’t mind me saying:

HE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Talking to him felt like herding cats.

Suicidally depressed — at one point hospitalized, business not really moving forward with any velocity, steeped in shame for some bad decisions in his business (massive debt) and marriage, his mental health was horrible. Riddled with panic attacks, he was diagnosed with ADD and his Beck Depression Index of 36 (Severe Depression) he was on his last string of hope.

On the call with him and his wife, you could see she had had enough and was also emotionally dead.

She actually wanted out; but was afraid to leave because of what might happen. She was carrying a ton of resentment she wasn’t able to express for feeling betrayed.

She was praying for him to do SOMETHING because she felt she didn’t exist in the relationship outside of being like a mother.

Well… this brave young couple jumped ALL-IN and invested in their individual healing. He wanted to become the kind of husband a wife would CHOOSE to be with out of love and attraction instead of pity.

(She wanted to heal her wounds with the masculine — daddy issues).

Long story short.

They’re stronger than ever and they didn’t have to do couples counselling.

Their faith in God is more genuine than ever, they’ve moved from the frozen hellhole of Edmonton (sorry bud it’s a shithole and we all know it) to Beautiful British Columbia (Kelowna) and they’ve wiped out their debt through deep commitment and teamwork (and Caleb getting his act together in his business).

Anyway why I’m sharing this:

Caleb just posted this vulnerable and raw share about a shitty moment in his entrepreneurial journey that every entrepreneur must face.

Notice his authenticity and the way he takes FULL ownership and uses it to learn and grow and share what he’s integrated with others using the tools he’s been refining in our trainings.

He doesn’t know I’m posting this. I’m just freaking blown away by this beautiful man’s courage and commitment to growth and becoming a cyclebreaker.

He’s come a long way. From foster care as a child… to not being raised by a father (Dad had mental illness and couldn’t cope) to anxiety and suicidal depression to almost losing everything.. to what you’re seeing in this unsolicited video he posted just to share with others his mortifying process of being fired yesterday to integrating his shadows and sharing it with others.

Can you please join me in giving this man some love? It takes courage to choose to heal our traumas we keep avoiding (but are in our face every day regardless).

If you’re stuck and dangling over the gates of hell…

Just know you’re one decision away from a completely different life.

Heal your shit and watch your life expand.

I love you Caleb.
